What is the purpose of creating the universe if Allah is self-sufficient and independent of all creation? Are there other purposes for existence in Islam besides worship, such as developing the earth? And what is the meaning of developing the earth in light of everything perishing on the Day of Resurrection?

The answer to the problem lies in understanding two matters:

First: Allah Almighty is characterized by wisdom, and if some of His wisdom is hidden from us, it is due to our deficiency, not to the absence of His wisdom. The inability of our minds to comprehend it does not negate it.

Second: Differentiating between Allah's need for His creation and the necessity for His perfection to manifest its effects in others. The perfection of Allah's attributes and names necessitates the manifestation of their effects in the world, similar to the generosity of the Generous, which necessitates the existence of someone to bestow favor upon, without that meaning the Generous is in need of the poor. Likewise, Allah Almighty is Rich and Praiseworthy, and the manifestation of the effects of His attributes in His creation is from His perfection, not due to His need for them.
