The question

Is it permissible to commit suicide due to severe obsessive-compulsive disorder related to creed, which leads to doubt in religion, loss of fear of God, and a desire to deny the texts of the Qur’an, especially with the existence of the verse: "So turn in repentance to your Creator and kill yourselves. That will be better for you in the sight of your Creator"?

The answer

You must divert your mind from obsessive thoughts and seek companionship that helps you get rid of Satan, for Satan is with the lone individual, and he is further from two, and the wolf only devours the stray sheep. As for contemplating suicide, it is a dangerous venture, for Allah has threatened its perpetrator with a painful punishment; whoever kills himself with a piece of iron, or poison, or by falling from a mountain, his destiny is the fire of Hell, wherein he will abide eternally.
