Is the mother's action correct in giving her daughters half of the plot of land she bought with their money, and the other half to them and their unemployed brothers?

If a mother takes money from her children to give to some of their siblings, this is not permissible unless she herself is in need. If the children donate money to her, she must, according to the preponderant opinion, be just among them in giving. It is not permissible to favor one child over another except for a legitimate reason, such as need, disability, preoccupation with knowledge, or to withhold a gift from a transgressor. Favoritism is permissible with the consent of the rest of the children, as Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) did.
