Is it permissible to enter churches for condolences and to listen to their discourse, which involves polytheism (shirk) with Allah?

It is permissible to offer condolences to Christians in their homes and churches, as this falls under good treatment and righteousness, based on the Almighty's saying: "Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly." However, it is stipulated that the condolence does not involve anything forbidden or an affirmation of their falsehood. It is not permissible to listen to their words that contain polytheism (shirk) with Allah, based on the Almighty's saying: "And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the remembrance with the wrongdoing people." Therefore, if the condolence gatherings are not free from polytheism, it is not permissible to attend them.
