If a husband makes a divorce conditional upon his wife increasing her calls at a specific time, then the divorce does not occur by her calling him afterward. However, if he makes it conditional upon her merely speaking to him, then, according to the majority of scholars, the divorce has occurred. If the divorce has occurred, the husband can take his wife back before the 'iddah (definition) (waiting period) ends, provided he has not divorced her before, or has only divorced her once. However, if he has divorced her twice previously, she does not become lawful for him again unless she marries another husband willingly and that husband divorces her after consummating the marriage. If the husband utters the divorce while in extreme anger, to the point of losing his awareness, then nothing is binding upon him. Divorce via text messages occurs if the husband intends for it to occur.
