The answer

We advise the sister to continue with Shariah, and for her parents to pray for her. The matter of the aforementioned woman cannot be definitively asserted, and it is possible to consult trustworthy Sunni experts. One must make abundant supplications and not be hasty in them; as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The supplication of anyone of you will be answered as long as he does not supplicate for a sin or for the severing of kinship, and as long as he does not become impatient." As for what the woman gave for treatment, it is not permissible to use it if it is an amulet () with an incomprehensible meaning, or if its material is of unknown benefit; out of fear that it may contain (polytheism). The Shariah has forbidden incantations (ruqyah) and protective charms (tahsinat) whose meanings are not understood, because they are a suspected source of shirk.
