What is the ruling on eating meals that contain alcohol but do not lead to intoxication?
Source: FtawySummarized from the full answer at Ftawy · imported Sep 2, 2026
It is impermissible to consume anything containing alcohol or other intoxicants, as Allah, the Most High, says: (O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone altars [to other than Allah ], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may succeed). Therefore, it is obligatory to avoid all intoxicants, whether in small or large quantities. Selling or purchasing such items is also forbidden.
