Reciting the Quran is among the best deeds. A Muslim should combine it with the morning and evening remembrances (adhkar) and not neglect these adhkar. However, if one leaves them and becomes occupied with the Quran, they do not incur sin because these remembrances are supererogatory (mustahabbah) and not obligatory (wajibah).
