The answer

A wife must obey her husband in what is right, and she is not permitted to leave the house without his permission except in case of necessity. If a husband swears an oath to his wife that she will not leave, then the oath refers to his intention; if he intended to prevent her from leaving absolutely or for no need, then his intention is acted upon. If his oath was by Allah or one of His attributes, then he can break it and expiate it with an oath expiation. However, if he swore by divorce, the majority of scholars believe that divorce occurs if the condition sworn upon takes place. While some scholars believe that if swearing by divorce was for the purpose of prevention or threat without the intention of divorce, then its ruling is like that of swearing by Allah, and it requires an oath expiation upon breaking it, and divorce does not occur. It is advised to refer to the Sharia court or trustworthy scholars, and it is emphasized that swearing by divorce is not permissible.
