Is reciting the Qur’an from memory considered remembrance of Allah, or is remembrance confined to the enduring good deeds (al-Baqiyat al-Salihat)?

Reciting the Quran is a form of remembrance (dhikr) that Allah has called "a blessed remembrance" (dhikr Mubarak) and "the wise remembrance" (adh-dhikr al-hakim). It is superior to reciting the 'Al-Baqiyat As-Salihat' (the enduring good deeds/words). The remembrance of Allah is not limited to 'Al-Baqiyat As-Salihat'. One should not raise their voice when reciting the Quran in places of sin, out of reverence for the Book of Allah.
