Is the father entitled to demand more than three-quarters of his employed daughter's salary when she is about to get married and the remaining amount is insufficient for her wedding expenses? And is it permissible for her to refuse his request due to her need for the money?

The father may take from his son's wealth whatever he wishes and own it, provided two conditions are met: that he does not harm the son or take something that the son needs, and that he does not take from his wealth to give it to another. Abu Hanifa, Malik, and Al-Shafi'i hold the view that he may not take from his son's wealth except what he needs, for the son has a greater right to what he needs. Therefore, the questioner has the right to refuse her father's condition of taking three-quarters of her salary to pay off his debts.
