Is there anything reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, regarding what some imams and congregants say by way of supplication and remembrance after the call to prayer (iqamah) and before the opening takbeer (takbeerat al-ihram), and is that permissible?

- The Imam's supplication, "O Allah, Lord of this perfect call," after the Iqamah is permissible for both the Imam and others.

- The Imam's command to straighten the rows by saying "Straighten your rows" is permissible and established from the Prophet (peace be upon him). He may also say whatever is appropriate for the situation to achieve the benefit of straightening the rows.

- The Imam's saying, "Pray the prayer of one bidding farewell," is acceptable, but it is not legislated to always adhere to it.

- The Imam's supplication, "O Allah, have mercy on our standing before You," is not established from the Prophet (peace be upon him), so it is not legislated to always adhere to it.

- The Imam's saying "May Allah guide you" and the congregants' reply "May Allah reward us and reward you" have no basis in the Sunnah. It is preferable to abandon them and restrict oneself to what is established.
