ما هو تعريف السنة؟

Linguistically, Sunnah refers to the adopted method (whether good or bad), or custom, tradition, and law. Terminologically, among the Hadith scholars, it refers to everything attributed to the Prophet (peace be upon him), whether it be a saying, an action, an approval, or a description. Among the jurists, it refers to what is in opposition to the obligatory (wajib), meaning the recommended (mustahabb) and the sunnah, or what is in opposition to innovation (bid'ah).
