Is it obligatory to enjoin good and forbid evil upon a disbeliever?

Inviting non-Muslims to Allah is an obligation upon the Muslim community and upon each individual according to their capacity. Enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong falls under the rubric of inviting to Allah the Almighty, and it includes both Muslims and non-Muslims, though the method differs. A Muslim is commanded to do every good and forbidden every evil, whereas a disbeliever is first invited to Islam. Disbelievers residing in Muslim lands are forbidden from openly displaying evil or any of their rituals, and this is handled by those whose prohibition can yield benefit.
