Is it permissible for a husband who wishes to reconcile with his wife, whom he has divorced twice previously, and then uttered the word of divorce for the third time saying, "I have divorced you," while he was angry and she was in her menstrual period, knowing that he denied it to her brother, then confessed later?

If the husband affirms that his brother's statement regarding the divorce was false, and he did not intend to initiate divorce, then divorce is not binding upon him in what is between him and Allah. However, it becomes binding if his wife takes the matter to a judge. But if he intended to initiate divorce, or his wife took the matter to a judge, then it becomes binding upon him, and his wife becomes unlawful to him if he had divorced her twice or more before this instance. She does not become lawful to him unless she marries another man in a valid marriage and he consummates it with her, and then he divorces her. Divorce pronounced during menstruation is effective and valid according to the more preponderant opinion.
