Should one show patience and forbearance to conceal a husband's illicit relationships, or should one report these transgressions to the authorities?

If the husband associates with bad companions, flirts with women, and commits immoral acts, he must be advised and reminded to repent and return to Allah before death overtakes him. He should be reminded of the ill effects of sins and their impact on him and his family, and that he would not approve for his daughters and wife what he does to others. As for informing the Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice about them, it is obligatory if you are certain or highly suspect that an evil act is occurring and you are safe from harm. It might even become an individual obligation if no one else knows about the evil act and you are able to prevent it by reporting.
