What is the ruling on repeatedly swearing an oath and then breaking it, and what are the consequences of that?

We advise you to seek refuge in Allah Almighty and to seek His help in improving and changing your condition, for He answers the supplication of whoever calls upon Him, especially when supplicating with the Greatest Name and the invocation of Yunus (peace be upon him).

We advise you not to swear excessively, in accordance with His (the Almighty's) saying: "And guard your oaths" and "And do not make Allah an excuse in your oaths."

You must have a sincere resolve to abandon forbidden matters and remember Allah's warning against sins.

Keep good company, and read the stories of the Salaf (pious predecessors) and the biographies of the prophets to raise your spirits.

It is not permissible to wish for death due to a harm that has befallen you. Rather, be eager to increase in good deeds and wish for a long life, for the best of people is he whose life is long and whose deeds are good.
