Marriage is an important matter in Islam due to its role in preserving chastity, increasing progeny, and building families. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, encouraged facilitating marriage and avoiding extravagance in dowries, as extravagance leads to the spread of spinsterhood and corruption in society. Therefore, the girl's family should prioritize her well-being by considering the young man's religiosity and character. The young man, in turn, should seek Allah's help and strive to marry a righteous woman, for Allah has promised to enrich, from His bounty, whoever seeks chastity.
