Is it permissible to suffice with reciting only Al-Fatiḥah in the first two rakʿahs of the prayer?

If someone forgets to recite a surah after Al-Fatihah, the well-known position in the Maliki school is that they should perform the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) before the taslim (salutation) if they are leading the prayer (imam) or praying alone (munfarid). As for the congregant (ma'mum), nothing is required of them.
