How many of Allah’s names are mentioned in the Qur’an?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said that Allah has ninety-nine names, and whoever enumerates them will enter Paradise. These names were specified in a narration by At-Tirmidhi, but scholars differed regarding the authenticity of this addition. Some scholars strived to derive these names from the Quran and Sunnah. Sheikh Muhammad ibn Salih Al-Uthaymeen, for instance, mentioned ninety-nine names from the Quran and Sunnah. These names are not all of Allah's names, as Allah has kept some of them exclusively in His knowledge of the Unseen.
