What is the share of each heir from the inheritance given the presence of: 3 sons, 1 grandson (son's son), 3 daughters, 4 granddaughters (son's daughters), and 1 wife?

The wife receives one-eighth due to the existence of a lineal descendant (inheriting offspring), as Allah Almighty says: "But if you have a child, then for them [the wives] is one eighth of what you leave, after any bequest you [may have] made or debt." The remainder goes to the sons and daughters by way of ta'ṣīb (residuary inheritance), with the male receiving the share of two females, as Allah Almighty says: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females." The grandson and granddaughters receive nothing because they are all completely excluded from inheritance by the son. The inheritance is divided into 72 shares: the wife receives 9 shares, each son receives 14 shares, and each daughter receives 7 shares. We emphasize that matters of inheritance are critical and complex and must be referred to Sharia (definition) courts for review and verification.
