What is the ruling on distributing money among women at a condolence gathering?

If the distribution of money occurs at women's mourning gatherings, then it is forbidden because it is part of the prohibited wailing (niyāḥah). However, if the distribution is intended as charity for the deceased and without gatherings for lamentations and wailing, then there is no harm in it.
