What is the legitimate Islamic ruling on entering a website that includes groups encouraging corruption, and Islamic groups, and forbidden features, for the purpose of using the Islamic groups and messaging friends, knowing that whoever enters the site will be exposed to many forbidden things and doubtful matters?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to access websites that propagate corruption under the pretext of da'wah (inviting to Islam) or enjoining good and forbidding evil. This is because a Muslim is commanded to distance himself from places of temptation, for their allure and temptation can cause the one who enters them to fall into a temptation from which it is difficult to escape. Many have been tempted by impermissible communications and visuals. Whoever desires safety for his religion should keep away from such websites. The internet space is vast enough for da'wah on Islamic websites and forums. Accessing these bad websites leads to exposure to forbidden things and temptations, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever hears of the Dajjal, let him keep far from him, for by Allah, a man will come to him thinking he is a believer, and then follow him because of the specious arguments he sends forth." Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen emphasized that many expose themselves to temptations, thinking they will not be tempted, and then fall into them.
