Is the wife considered sinful for what happened between her and her family, even though she was zealous for her religion and cut ties with her family because of their actions that do not please Allah, and her commitment to her home and husband?

A man's attempt to entice one of his unmarriageable kin (mahram) into committing an immoral act is a grave sin. Its heinousness intensifies if it comes from someone expected to defend honor and chastity, such as a father. The perpetrator must repent before it is too late. It is not permissible for the daughter-in-law to obey him in this matter; she must take measures to protect herself from him, such as threatening to expose him. The children should offer him advice, and if he does not accept it, the wife should pray for her father's guidance without abandoning him.
