How can one reconcile intensive medical studies during vacation with dedicating time to seeking religious knowledge without feeling deficient or self-reproachful?

A Muslim must learn what makes their acts of worship and transactions valid. Anything beyond that is a collective obligation (fard kifaya). Among the best and most beneficial religious sciences are those that fulfill this, and learning beneficial worldly sciences may be better for some people, due to the Muslim community's need for them or their proficiency in them. Every religious or worldly science that the Muslim community needs, and through which its benefit and elevation are intended, falls within what Allah raises degrees for. Therefore, it is obligatory to learn what is essential in religious matters, then to consider what is most beneficial and prioritize it, while consulting people of knowledge and trustworthiness.
