Do deeds that forbid a Muslim's face or body from hellfire negate accountability for sins?
The texts of the promise do not necessarily materialize merely by the presence of their causes; rather, their impediments must be removed, such as dying in disbelief, an abundance of sins and injustice, showing off and causing harm in one's work, abandoning the 'Asr prayer, and bearing false witness and acting upon it. Those who commit major sins do not deserve to enter Paradise without punishment.
Some are also deluded by fasting on the day of Ashura or Arafat, believing that it expiates the sins of the year. However, these deeds do not expiate major sins that a servant persists in. and the five daily prayers expiate minor sins if major sins are avoided. And Allah knows best.
