Is it permissible to fast three days of Shawwal's six white days with a single intention to obtain the virtue of the six days?

It is permissible to fast the six days of Shawwal with the intention of making up for the White Days, for Allah's bounty is vast. Whoever fasts six days of Shawwal is considered to have fasted three days of the month, and the timing of the fasting does not matter, as it was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to fast three days from every month, not caring whether he fasted them at the beginning, middle, or end of the month. This is similar to the prostration of greeting the mosque being dropped by performing a regular prayer.
