The answer

Supplicating in the last third of the night is recommended and a time of answered prayers, due to the descent of the Lord, Glorified and Exalted be He, during that time. It has been reported in the that Allah descends to the lowest heaven when the last third of the night remains, saying: "Who is invoking Me that I may respond to his invocation? Who is asking Me that I may give him? Who is asking My forgiveness that I may forgive him?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked: Which supplication is most likely to be heard? He said: "The last part of the night, and after the prescribed prayers." Therefore, persisting in supplication during this noble time and other times of answered prayers is a good thing.
