What is the ruling of Sharia on the prayer of a religious girl to marry a professor whom she loves for his character and knowledge, but he speaks of sensitive and forbidden matters under the pretext of teaching language, and he mingles with his female colleagues in a way that exceeds the limits of collegiality? And should she stop this prayer? And what is the evidence from the Quran and Sunnah for the prohibition of speaking about matters such as adultery and sodomy without necessity?

It is permissible to supplicate that Allah rectify a person so that he may marry you, for this is not a supplication to marry a dissolute person, because one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin. Nevertheless, it is better for you to ask Allah for a righteous husband without specifying a particular person, for Allah knows best what is good for you. Beware of becoming emotionally attached to this man, as this may lead to forbidden infatuation. You should occupy your time with beneficial deeds and strengthen your connection with Allah. As for the obscene talk prevalent among teachers, it is forbidden, for Allah has threatened those who love that immorality should spread among the believers with a painful torment. Engaging in falsehoods, such as stories of drinking parties and fornication, is also forbidden.
