What is the degree of authenticity, reliability, and indication of the the Hadith: "There is no harm and no reciprocation of harm"?

The noble Prophetic saying "No harm shall be inflicted or reciprocated" is an agreed-upon legal maxim, indicating that a person should not harm himself or others. A number of scholars have authenticated this hadith, and it is among the hadiths upon which the principle "Harm must be removed" is built, meaning the obligation to remove harm from whoever it has befallen. Islamic Sharia is founded on bringing about benefits and repelling harms, and numerous jurisprudential branches fall under this principle, such as the legislation of punishments (hudud) and guarantees (daman).
