Is one who apostatizes then pronounces the Two Testimonies and acts according to the opinion that ghusl is not obligatory for one who repents from apostasy, sinful if this opinion is incorrect? Is his prayer valid? Will he be held accountable on the Day of Judgment for adopting the incorrect opinion?

The chosen opinion for the fatwa (definition) is the Maliki school of thought and the view of Abu Bakr from the Hanbalis, which does not necessitate ghusl (definition) for an apostate or a disbeliever unless they committed an act that necessitates it while in a state of disbelief.
