Is it obligatory to repeat the Tashahhud after the prostration of forgetfulness (Sajdat al-Sahw)?

Reciting the Tashahhud after the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw) is not prescribed, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not do it, nor was it reported from him. He commanded Muslims to pray as they saw him pray. Ibn Sirin and Ibn al-Mundhir stated that sujud al-sahw involves a salutation (taslim) without Tashahhud, and that the salutation is firmly established therein from multiple angles, while the establishment of Tashahhud is questionable. Furthermore, Al-Nawawi clarified that sujud al-sahw consists of two prostrations, with a takbir for each, and one concludes them with a salutation without Tashahhud.
