What is the ruling on adultery and 'urfi marriage, and their resulting implications in Islamic law, and how should one deal with a father in such a situation?

It is not permissible to accuse the father of zina (fornication/adultery) except with conclusive evidence. If that is proven, then he must be covered (his sin not exposed), and advised gently and kindly, and honoring him remains obligatory. As for his being subjected to magic (sihr), investigation is necessary, and others should not be accused. He should be treated with ruqyah (definition) (Islamic exorcism/healing) that is in accordance with Sharia (definition). We also caution against the impermissibility of abandoning one's wife and neglecting the rights of the children.
