Is evil from ourselves or from Allah Almighty?

The verse (And whatever strikes you of evil, it is from yourself) means that evil occurs because of the human and their sins, so "from" here is causal. And afflictions, even if by Allah's decree, are a result of human actions, as in His Almighty saying: (And whatever affliction befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned). As for the verse (Say: All is from Allah), it means that good and evil, and good deeds and bad deeds, are by Allah's judgment and decree, so everything happens by Allah's will, but the cause of evil lies within the human themselves.
