What is your opinion of the book "Shawariq al-Anwar"?
There is more than one book titled (Shawariq al-Anwar), the most famous of which are two:
1. (Shawariq al-Anwar min Ad‘iyat al-Sadat al-Akhyar) by Muhammad Alawi al-Maliki. This book is not recommended due to its inclusion of innovated litanies and prayers, and the restriction of dhikr to specific numbers without evidence.
2. (Dala'il al-Khayrat wa Shawariq al-Anwar fi Dhikr al-Salat ‘ala al-Nabi al-Mukhtar). The Permanent Committee for Issuing Fatwas describes this book as a book of misguidance due to its inclusion of exaggeration regarding the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, invoking his status, and exaggerations without evidence. It is not permissible to read it except for those who intend to refute it and warn against it. Sound books, such as (Jila' al-Afham fi al-Salat wa al-Salam ‘ala Khayr al-Anam) by Ibn al-Qayyim, suffice in its stead.
