The question

How can one atone for the sin of speaking inappropriately to a neighbor's wife, knowing that the wife does not know who spoke to her and she is a righteous woman? Is it sufficient to feel remorse, repent, and seek forgiveness to restore the neighbor's right and avoid disgrace on the Day of Judgment?

The answer

Harming one's neighbor is a grave sin and a sign of weak faith. Whoever has harmed their neighbor should pray and seek forgiveness for them, and replace their evil deeds with good ones. They should strive to preserve their neighbor's sanctity, benefit them, and ward off evil from them, for Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, good deeds do away with evil deeds," and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Follow up a bad deed with a good deed that will wipe it out." Whoever does this and fulfills the conditions of sincere repentance, Allah will replace their evil deeds with good ones and forgive all sins.
