The answer

Prayer is not valid behind someone who omits washing a limb during ablution, and he should be advised. As for praying behind someone who severs ties of kinship and smokes, it is valid according to the majority of scholars, although it is better to have someone else lead. However, it is not valid according to the Hanbalis. The imamate of someone who makes many errors in recitation is valid as long as the errors do not change the meaning. If the errors change the meaning, then prayer behind him is not valid. Prayer behind someone who rushes through prayer (naturally) is valid if he fulfills the pillars and obligations, and he should be advised not to rush. It is better to pray in a mosque where one can achieve khushu' (devotional humility). If mosques are equal, then the mosque in one's neighborhood is preferred.
