What is the ruling on obeying one's mother regarding applying false eyelashes, knowing that they are a form of hair extension which is subject to the saying, "May Allah curse the woman who affixes hair extensions and the woman who asks for them to be affixed"?

It is not permissible to apply false eyelashes except out of necessity. Obedience to the mother in her request to apply them is not permissible, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Obedience is only in what is good and right," and "There is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to Allah, the Almighty, the Majestic." The mother should be advised and admonished with gentleness and kindness.
