Is the Mahdi who was born in "Jaunpur," India, and died in "Farah," Afghanistan, the Mahdi about whom the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, spoke? And are the hadiths cited by the "Mahdawiyya" authentic?

The Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah (Sunnis) believe in the emergence of the Mahdi at the end of time. He will be a man from the household of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, named Muhammad ibn Abdullah. He will fill the earth with justice and equity and will appear with the descent of Jesus, peace be upon him, and the slaying of the Dajjal (Antichrist). Many have claimed to be the Mahdi throughout history, but these claims are false. The true Mahdi can be distinguished by characteristics described by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, such as being from the progeny of Al-Hasan ibn Ali, his name being Muhammad ibn Abdullah, his emergence at the end of time, his leadership of the Muslims, and Jesus, peace be upon him, praying behind him. Claims of the Mahdi's appearance are false if these characteristics are not met.
