What is the ruling on a father fondling his adult daughter (16 years old) by kissing her on the mouth, touching her chest and waist, embracing her, and sleeping with her? And what is the ruling on a father exposing his nakedness and bathing in front of her, her siblings, and his wife? And is it permissible for a 16-year-old daughter to hug and kiss her maternal uncle, knowing that he is a young, unmarried man?

Scholars differed regarding what a mahram (a person with whom marriage is prohibited due to kinship) is permitted to look at. The preponderant opinion is that it is what is commonly exposed, such as the neck, head, hands, and feet. It is not permissible to touch what one is not permitted to look at. It is permissible to kiss a mahram on the forehead and head, but not on the mouth, provided there is no lust involved and no fear of temptation. However, if there is lust or fear of temptation, then even looking is not permissible. What the father does with his daughter, such as kissing her on the mouth and the behaviors mentioned, is a great evil. The daughter is not permitted to enable him to do so, and if she does, she is sinful. It is not permissible for the girl to be alone with her father as long as he is in this state. However, none of this negates his right to dutifulness, companionship with kindness, and obedience in matters that are not sinful. Exposing a man's awrah (private parts) in front of his children is not permissible. His awrah is what is between the navel and the knee, and it is not permissible to expose it except to his spouse. A maternal uncle embracing an adult niece is not permissible due to it involving touching what is not allowed. It is permissible to kiss her on other parts, such as the forehead and head, but not on the mouth, provided there is no lust and no fear of temptation. It is better to avoid kissing such a young man.
