How is the inheritance divided between a wife, four full brothers, and four full sisters?

If a person dies, leaving behind a wife, four full sisters, and four full brothers, and no other heirs, then the wife receives one-fourth, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And for them [wives] is one fourth of what you leave if you have no child." The remainder after the one-fourth is divided among the sisters and brothers by 'asabah (agnatic succession), with the male receiving the share of two females, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And if they are brothers and sisters, male and female, then for the male will be the share of two females." The estate is thus divided into 16 shares: the wife receives one-fourth (4 shares), each full brother receives two shares, and each full sister receives one share. It is necessary to refer inheritance matters to the Sharia (definition) courts for investigation to determine if there are other heirs, wills, or debts.
