Is it permissible for the suitor to visit his fiancée in the presence of her father to get to know her?

A man is permitted to repeatedly look at a woman he intends to marry. Any viewing or conversation that occurred between them was for a legitimate religious purpose. However, once mutual acceptance has been established, it becomes unlawful for him to see her thereafter, because she is a non-mahram (definition). He must then expedite the procedures for completing the marriage.
