What is the authentication (takhrij) of this widely circulated Hadith Qudsi: "Indeed, I, mankind, and jinn are engaged in a momentous affair: I create, yet others are worshipped; I provide, yet others are thanked"? And are there any weak or fabricated additions within it?

This hadith (definition) (prophetic tradition) in this context has no basis from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and it consists of four parts:

1. First part: ("Indeed, I, humankind, and jinn are in a great tiding: I create, yet others are worshipped; I provide, yet others are thanked.") This is a weak Hadith Qudsi (divine hadith), but its meaning is sound. 2. Second part: ("My goodness descends upon My servants, and their evil ascends to Me. I endear Myself to them with blessings, though I am free of need for them! And they incur My displeasure with sins, though they are in direst need of Me.") This is a fabricated, forged hadith, but its meaning is acceptable. 3. Third part: ("The people of My remembrance are the people of My company. Whoever wishes to sit with Me, let him remember Me. The people of My obedience are the people of My love. The people of My disobedience, I do not make them despair of My mercy. If they repent to Me, then I am their beloved. And if they refuse, then I am their physician. I test them with calamities to cleanse them of faults. Whoever comes to Me from them repentant, I receive him from afar. And whoever turns away from Me, I call out to him from near. I say to him: Where are you going? Do you have a Lord other than Me!") This has not been narrated with a chain of transmission (musnad) nor as an authentic tradition (ma'thur) in the books of the people of knowledge. 4. Fourth part: ("A good deed with Me is tenfold its like and I increase, and a bad deed with Me is its like and I forgive. By My honor and My glory, if they seek My forgiveness for it, I would forgive them.") Its meaning is authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as narrated by Muslim with the wording: "Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, says: 'Whoever comes with a good deed, for him there are ten like it, and I increase. And whoever comes with a bad deed, his recompense is a bad deed like it, or I forgive.'"
