Is it permissible for me to take my uncle's Zakat because I am a university student and my father has many obligations and cannot provide all the requirements for my studies?

It is not permissible to give zakat to a student merely because he is a student, unless he fulfills the conditions for receiving zakat, such as being poor or needy. If these conditions are met, then it is permissible for him to take zakat from his uncle, and it would be both charity (sadaqah) and an act of kinship (silah). However, if the conditions are not met, then it is not permissible for him to take zakat, and it would not be sufficient for his uncle to give it to him. Instead, his uncle should help him from his own private funds.
