What is the authenticity of the Prophetic Hadith: "Do not treat the ailments your body carries"?

The circulating statement, "Leave medicine as long as your body can bear the illness," is not from the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Rather, it is narrated from Hayyan, the grandfather of Ibn Abjar al-Akbar, and was transmitted by al-Tabarani in "Al-Mu'jam al-Kabir" with a chain of narrators whose reliability is affirmed. It was also narrated by al-Bukhari in "Al-Tarikh al-Kabir" and al-Bayhaqi in "Shu'ab al-Iman."
