The answer

The sacred texts differentiated between making up for missed prayers and fasting for a menstruating woman. They mandated that she make up for missed fasting but exempted her from making up for missed prayers, out of mercy for her, because making up for prayers would be difficult for her. A woman once asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about this, and she replied that the Prophet (peace be upon him) commanded them to make up for fasting but not for prayers. This clarification from the Prophetic Sunnah is binding, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) is an expounder of the Book of Allah, and obedience to him is obedience to Allah. A Muslim must submit to what the Prophet (peace be upon him) brought. One should be wary of associating with those who hold malicious ideas that harm the religion.
