What is the ruling on using an IUD to prevent pregnancy, especially since some doctors consider it a type of abortion and it leads to an increase in the duration of menstruation and the amount of blood discharged?

Some scholars do not permit the use of an IUD except out of necessity, because it prevents the fertilized egg from implanting in the uterine wall. This is not considered an abortion, as the zygote, before its implantation in the uterus, is not considered to have a ruling. The reason for the prohibition is due to the resultant exposure of the 'awrah (private parts), the menstrual cycle disturbance that affects acts of worship, and the harms and pains caused to the woman.
