Is studying alcoholic beverages for promotion in the restaurant field unlawful (haram)?

Drinking alcohol is one of the major sins and is forbidden by the Qur'an, Sunnah, and scholarly consensus. Therefore, it is not permissible to study its types, even for a promotion, because that would be an endorsement of it and a means to work in the field of serving it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Allah has cursed alcohol, its drinker, its server, its seller, its buyer, its presser, its extractor, its carrier, the one to whom it is carried, and the one who consumes its price."
