Does negligence in caring for two dogs until they died affect the acceptance of prayers, Hajj, and fasting? Is expiation (fidyah) required for that?

Allah has greatly emphasized the importance of animals, making their torture a cause for entering Hellfire. Therefore, it was imperative not to be negligent in the matter of these two dogs, and to feed them or release them. Since what happened was an unintentional mistake and forgetfulness, there is no sin upon you, for Allah Almighty says: "And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred, but [only for] what your hearts intended." There is no expiation required for this action of yours; it suffices that you did not intend it and have regretted it.
