The answer

We ask Allah to grant you healing and well-being, and we congratulate you on your patience and your anticipation of reward for this affliction. It is hoped that you will be among the martyrs of the Hereafter should Allah take your life through this illness. We advise you to think well of Allah and to hope for His grace, for He is capable of removing the ailment from you. Maintain your obligatory prayers, increase your supererogatory acts of worship, strive in obedience, adhere to remembrance of Allah, supplication, and recitation of the Quran. Accustom yourself to being content with Allah's decree, for there is always good in it, and Allah is more merciful to you than your own mother.
